Miguel Kertsman is on the Recording Arts faculty of Chicago based Flashpoint Academy of Media Arts and Sciences where he serves as Professor of Sound Design, Synthesis, Sound and Acoustics, Aesthetics of Music for the Media, and Directed Studies in Music Production & Audio Engineering. He also works on projects as Artist/Composer-in-Residence.

Flashpoint is a state-of-the-art, inter-disciplinary School focusing on Film and Broadcasting, Recordings Arts, Visual Effects and Animation, and Interactive Game Design. Founded by Ric Landry, and headed by visionary entrepreneur Howard Tullman, Flashpoint offers total immersion training in digital media arts within a multi-discipline collaborative environment.

Recent invitations as guest lecturer or for Master Classes include College of Art, Media and Design in Karlsruhe, Germany (Audio Mastering and Production);Berklee College of Music, Boston (Composition); Pernambuco State Conservatory, Brazil, (Conducting and Musicianship workshop) and others.

Miguel has taught at the Juilliard School, Pre-College Division, in New York as substitute instructor for Dr. Elena Braslavsky, and has coached and/or guided established musicians, singers, and conductors during recording sessions for international record releases.
